On my last day painting in the Hudson to Harbor plein air painting event on Mount Desert Island this summer, I was having such a good time that I was humming a tune while I was painting “Sunset Surf” (8" x 10" oil on linen)! My friend and I were huddled down amongst the rocks at Otter Point Lookout in Acadia National Park as the sun lit up the surf in a variety of pastel colors as it set over the horizon.
